Indeed Brewing has announced that one of its limited-release beers is becoming a permanent part of its product line, returning to liquor stores this week and available year-round.
The Minneapolis brewery debuted its Pistachio Cream Ale in May 2020. It was meant to be a limited run, but the company says its instantaneous success led to additional batches of beer to keep up with demand. Starting this week, the company is bringing it back to Minnesota and Wisconsin stores for year-round availability.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s administration refiled an emergency COVID-19 rule similar to one that expired Monday to continue statewide mask and social distancing requirements for Illinoisans for another 150 days.
A rule filed last year before the legislature met in May was repealed by the governor after critics said it criminalized business owners.
In August, the governor filed a different emergency rule the Joint Commission on Administrative Rules allowed to stand.
JCAR member state Rep. Tom Demmer, R-Dixon, said that rule expired Monday.
“I believe that’s correct, and my understanding is that an extension to that emergency rule or a new emergency rule will be filed in a similar vein,” Demmer said Tuesday.
Bar, restaurant owners, employees protest outside Governor s Mansion

Keith Loukinen has had perhaps the best view of the Illinois Governor’s Mansion of any restaurateur since opening his fine dining establishment across the street in 2017.
But on Saturday, Loukinen, in his full chef uniform, made the short walk to the front of the mansion to join about 100 bar and restaurant owners, employees and patrons to protest the mitigations put in place by Gov. JB Pritzker and enforced by Sangamon County public health officials.
The mitigations, in place since November, have closed bars and restaurants for indoor service for the second time in a year.

In some of the Illinois counties where local officials are enforcing COVID-19 restrictions, some businesses continue to operate in defiance.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker s latest restrictions put all the state’s eleven regions of his Restore Illinois plan in Phase 4 Tier 3, which prohibits indoor service at bars and restaurants while retail businesses can allow customers in at 25 percent capacity. Attorney Thomas DeVore, who represents businesses across the state in COVID-19 challenges, said he s aware of only a handful of the state s 102 counties taking enforcement action.
It’s unclear when such statewide mitigations being used by local officials to justify the enforcement will be lifted. Pritzker gave no timeline.
