Barry Fortune Approved and entered an agreement with the Ashland County Cancer Association for the use of CARES Act Funding in the amount of $63,636.19. The motion was approved by Michael Welch and Denny Bittle with James Justice abstaining. The commissioners presented a check in the amount of $63,636.19 to Angela Woodward, executive director of the Ashland County Cancer Association. The money will be broken down into four main areas: Approximately $2,000 will go for supplies for employees and clients. Approximately $6,000 for structural remodel in the office. $4,000 for a disinfectant sprayer. $51,000 for a wheelchair conversion van “The remodel is for partitions for staff and clients and to be able to separate everybody into different work spaces that is required by government,” Woodward said. “We are getting a lot of calls since March that individuals just need rides, so this van will allow us the opportunity to get people to where they need to.”
