Rutherford County, TN — Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) recently purchased a total of six Lifepak 15 cardiac monitors with funds from Gov. Bill Lee and the General Assembly’s 2021-22 Local Government Grant program aiding Tennessee counties and cities/towns in the recovery effort of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rutherford County received a total of $1,770,566 from the Governor’s local support grant. RCFR was allocated around $300,000 of those funds by the full County Commiss .
Rutherford County, TN— Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) warns that open burning, if not done properly, can lead to large brush fires and additional consequences.The department responded to a total of three separate brush fires in the Kittrell area Thursday, according to Fire Marshal Joshua Sanders. “This resulted in one citation, one verbal warning, and one written warning,” he said.RCFR Captain Adam Rose, whose teams responded to the fires along with Kittrell and Lascassas .
An early Saturday morning (12/4/2021) blaze destroyed a structure on East Gum Road. Firefighters arrived to find the detached garage fully involed.
Flames were quickly extinguished, but the building and its contents were destroyed.
No injuries were reported.

Around 2:30PM Tuesday (11/23/2021) afternoon, a Dekalb county woman reported that her 49-year old brother was hunting with friends and had been missing for some time. This was near the area where Dekalb, Rutherford, and Cannon counties join so Rutherford County Fire-Rescue was one of the responding agencies.

Austin Hill of the Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) Department was recognized for his dedication and hard work on November 3, 2021 by The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro.
