Murfreesboro, TN – Middle Tennessee residents will have a chance to get their fill of delicious chili, soup, stew and gumbo from over 35 cooking teams at the 16 th Annual Cookin’ To Build event on Saturday, Nov. 4, 11am – 1:00 pm, on the Murfreesboro Town Square. The popular food event raises money for Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity to help build safe, energy-efficient, and affordable homes for families across Rutherford County.

The month of September was Good Neighbor Month and State Farm encouraged agents and employees across the nation to take action in their communities, unite their neighborhoods, and emphasize good neighbors who are making a positive impact.
Over 70 State Farm agents, team members and employees across Middle Tennessee took this to heart last month and volunteered nearly 400 hours partnering with one of four local Habitat for Humanity organizations.

The event will take place at the MTSU Student Union Commons on Thursday November 5, 9am – 2pm.
