A new Stourbridge care home has chosen Mary Stevens Hospice as its charity of the year – and kicked the fundraising off with a £200 donation. Parkfield Grange, a newly-opened home on Hagley Road which has more than 70 bedrooms, has donated £1 for every new ‘like’ on its Facebook page. The home is part of the Cinnamon Care Collection. It has 68 large en-suite bedrooms and 6 one-bedroom care suites, which en-suite, lounge and kitchenette, mainly – but not exclusively - developed with couples in mind. The hospice is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, although its official opening took place in 1992. Before that it had been a maternity home.
