My parents thought that teaching would be a good occupation from me. Women were not welcome as doctors, lawyers, and engineers. I realized i was facing an audience that did not know what i was talking about. They understood race discrimination, that was odious. But most men at that time thought that the law was riddled with genderbased distinctions but they operated in the womens favor. Like, a woman did not have to serve on a jury if she did not want to.
