His revised plan will include more than 200 million to increase the states firefighting efforts. That will be used to manage a surge in wildfires and hire 600 new additional firefigters. Newsom will have to decide what will be cut. Some state lawmakers areern waing against cuts to education and others are suggesting a statewide tax increase.
