People With Disabilities Report Fewer Voting Troubles by Shaun Heasley | February 19, 2021 A new report finds that Americans with disabilities had an easier time casting their ballots in November. That’s according to a report out this week from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, a federal agency established by the Help America Vote Act. Advertisement - Continue Reading Below The report conducted by Lisa Schur and Douglas Kruse of the Rutgers Program for Disability Research is based on information gathered from 1,782 voters with disabilities and 787 voters without following the November election. Schur and Kruse produced a similar report after the 2012 election.
