his golf club. what s so interesting to me about the suzie wiles reporting is this really stuck out to us, right, in the indictment. this suggested that someone in the president s inner circle could have shared this with investigators. we don t know if she relayed this episode where she was shown a map. it s been suggested to us that maybe she wasn t necessarily the source of this information. how else would they know about this? it is hard to know. they may have been interviewing multiple people for it. someone like her, it is so critical because she could shed light on what it was that trump was rustling around in his hands ands what he was saying about it. and if she got to see it, that will be significant evidence against him with mishandling national security information. she was traveling with him this weekend, so it appears she s not fallen out of favor in
as we have heard in the audio clip, today, you know, one of the defenses trump wanted to make is, i was not really showing this classified documents, right? i was talking about them but i was not necessarily showing them to her. if you hear the audio clip, you hear him rustling around for 10 or 15 seconds and really seeming to be showing it to her. so, it is just going from bad to worse for trump from what we are learning. and by the way, this is a different incident. so, this one, with this new map, the classified map is from august through september. different map, different campaign. that when you were referring to which is the audio we have all heard that cnn obtained, the rustling around classified documents. so, it is not just one thing the special prosecutor is looking into, it s both. this is literally the house of cards. right? there s all these different people, the whole thing seems to be falling apart. it said before that trump runs
up. you could hear the rustle of the paper. nobody said i did anything wrong. have you heard anything from the former president or his team that has helped sort of his defense? i think the problem is certainly that there are these narratives that continue to shift and move and bob and weave and now we re at the rustling of the papers defense. was it the secret document that he was boasting about in company that did not have security clearances? or was it an actual document that was secret that should not have been shared and that otherwise would expose him to criminality. so i think that his narrative he has to have a narrative. he s running for president. so inquiring minds want to know. but continuing at the end of the day, there are a lot of admissions he made on that tape with regard to knowing that they were secret documents, knowing that he had the ability to declassify, knowing that he did not declassify so that is why
reporter asked donald trump if he was concerned about the audio recording, to which donald trump replied, my voice was fine. it s not really what prosecutors are going to be focusing on. here is donald trump s response to that question about being, possibly concerned about the audio recording. my voice was fine. what did i say wrong in those recordings? i didn t even see the recording. all i know is i did nothing wrong. we had a lot of papers, a lot of papers stacked up. in fact you could hear the russell of the paper. yes, we do. we hear the rustling of the paper. you are about to hear the russell of that paper again when we play you the full two minutes, and you will hear donald trump, apparently showing classified documents to
because you can t dispute the audio. and i think that is why his attorneys, when they found out about this several months ago, knew this was going to be such a problem. because it does completely undercut their defense, which is that he declassified things before he left the white house. or after he left a. wales and not just him saying, that a lot of his surrogates, and sycophants around him, all were around on television saying all of he automatically declassified those, things he acknowledges that he didn t. and that s the most part of this. and that would be the most difficult. because they ve not only said that in public, but they say that in legal filings. and i think that will be tough for todd blanche, and whoever else joins his legal team as they are taking this to trial. andrew, the former president is claiming those papers we hear about rustling, and him are just innocuous articles. not only does that on the tape about being secret classified, highly classified.
