Rustavi City Court on Tuesday sentenced the mother and uncle of a 14-year-old girl murdered last year in eastern Georgia’s Sagarejo municipality by a man who had reportedly kidnapped her.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has launched criminal proceedings against David Kirkitadze, MP for the United National Movement opposition party, with the charge related to a physical confrontation between the parliament member and protesters in the city of Rustavi before the October 2021 municipal elections.
Rustavi City Court has set bail at 5,000 GEL ($1,600/€1,400) for United National Movement (UNM) opposition party MP David Kirkitadze, who is charged with assaulting protesters in the city in October, ahead of the 2021 municipal election runoff.
