At Columbia University and the City University of new york. Dozens of protesters had occupied a building on columbias campus before police went in to apprehend them. Police didnt say how many were students, but new york city mayor eric adams said theres evidence students have been influenced and trained by people not affiliated with Columbia University. Those who broke into the building did include students, it was led by individuals who are not affiliated with the university.
