then you get transport plane that the pentagon wanted to cut and wanted to for five years. ve year they have a budget saying we want to cut the c-17 plane but congress doesn t let it. because members of congress with it manufacturered in the district don t want to cut what the pentagon wants to cut. glenn: that is the problem. military needs to be run as a business and without the politicians honestly. i want civilian control of the military clearly. right. glenn: but i don t i want them to make the decisions. they spend how many hours a day training and studying and we get a yodel from washington who doesn t know anything. i mean, even, even john mccain bothered me because he is not in the military. that s what the generals are for. i don t want some guy saying no, no, no. clear this out. i m the president. i ll show you exactly how to do it. fire the generals and put the right general in if you disagree with them. there is a bit of blame all around.

russia, they don t understand the same system per se, but it s the government. that s why this is so important. nothing is in the interest without our values and principles. right. glenn: they see us from abroad as they see us from a distance and we re not their dictators. right. glenn: if we are in bed with their dictators they re like there is no difference. the best thing to do with iran right now is make clear that it s iranian people against the iranian government. to the extent we impose ourselves people have a nationalist response and say we don t like the outsider or the other guy anymore if he is playing in our sand box. glenn: the last one is budget. we can slash the budget dramatically. we re not talking about the military leaders but the waist, not going in to fight and win. you can have a smaller military and you do need to change the strategy. the strategy involved as we talked about, do we need nation building missions, defending europeans from
