PLANS have been submitted to change a Herefordshire bus depot into a used car sales site. The applicants are seeking permission to change the use of Ledbury s Smith s Motors bus depot opposite Ledbury Station in The Homend. Collins Design and Build planning manager Russell Pryce said the site has been used for the parking, storage, repair and maintenance of buses since the 1960s. If the plans are approved, the site will be used to accommodate around 25 to 30 second-hand cars and will employ three full-time and three part-time staff members. The existing coach business currently employs two full-time and five part-time staff members.
