A group representing English-language school boards in Quebec is applauding a Superior Court judgment that struck down several sections of the province s controversial Bill 40.
The court ruled that several sections of the law cannot be applied to English school boards, including those that set limits on who can run for election and sit on the boards.
Bill 40 unreasonably limits the protected rights of the anglophone minority to manage its education system, according to a Quebec Superior Court decision.
