A police dog plunged around 18ft after slipping on a roof as it helped armed police carry out a search at a Stoke-on-Trent property.
Officers were combing for clues in Rushton Road, Cobridge, as part of a major investigation into an attempted murder following an incident in Church Terrace on Sunday night.

Detectives are this afternoon continuing their investigations into a disturbance as a man remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Police have today arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after a Stoke-on-Trent disturbance .
The suspect - a 35-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent - is being quizzed by detectives this afternoon.
He was detained this morning by police officers investigating the disturbance on Church Terrace, in Cobridge, at 11.20pm last night.

Armed police have descended on a Stoke-on-Trent street as part of a major attempted murder manhunt.
Eyewitnesses saw officers on Rushton Road in Cobridge just after 1pm this afternoon (May 10).
It comes as police have launched a major investigation into the attempted murder following an incident on nearby Church Terrace late last night.

Police are hunting arsonists after an investigation revealed a fire at a Stoke-on-Trent home was started deliberately.
Emergency services were called to Rushton Road, in Cobridge, at around 11.30pm on Monday (April 26).
