Tourism Season has a promising outlook
Soon the hills will be full of visitors traveling for the summer season. In preparation of the influx of people, the Black Hills & Badlands Association hosted their Travel Rally Day on Tuesday, it s all a part of National Travel and Tourism Week.

The state’s tourism website traffic is up and the tourism promotion tax brought in a record setting number in March. All signs point to a strong tourism season this year.
Michelle Thomson, President of the Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association, says, “2021 is looking to be absolutely amazing. We’ve got hotels and cabins and campgrounds all throughout the area that are telling us they are filling up or are full already. Attractions are opening up and excited abbot the season, and we really think this is going to be a banner year.”

May 8, 2021 in the Barnett Arena of the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.

Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the Barnett Arena of the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
This
is the university’s first in-person commencement since the start of the
pandemic. Participants are encouraged to wear masks and to social distance.

The
event includes a total of 375 graduates. This includes four associate’s, 290

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush hosted Kansas City on Friday night to kick off a three-game series.
Peter Quenneville scored a power play goal at 7:58 of the third period to lead the Rush past the Mavericks, 3-2.
Dave Tendeck earned the win for Rapid City stopping 22 of 24 shots.
The Rush have now won four in a row and improve to 28-22-3-1 on the season.
Rapid City remains in fourth place in the Western Conference with 18 games remaining in the regular season.
The Rush will host the Mavericks again on Saturday.
The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
