Montevideo, Sep 4 (Prensa Latina) Livestock producers and the Uruguayan government share concern about the process of an increasing concentration of the country’s meat industry in foreign hands.
Uruguay s Frigorífico Rosario has been allowed to resume exports to China following a sanction on Sept. 30, 2021, that banned the meat processing plant from sending shipments to the Asian giant, Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries Fernando Mattos announced.
For the first time in almost three years, the International Livestock Exposition will return in a new edition that will be held as it was before the pandemic, without sanitary restrictions, and in the same place: the Rural del Prado in Montevideo.
