pushed around and bullied by mitch mcconnell and others. this election in november is i can tell, it s going to shock. jenny beth martin from the tea party patriots joins us now. okay. so jenny beth, did you support dave brat in his candidacy? tea party patriots citizens fund did not engage in this election. we were focused so heavily on mississippi in the last several weeks and are still with the run offs that s going on there with chris mcglanel i have got to interrupt you. why jenny beth? this was a marquee race. if ever the tea party was going to make a name for itself, it would be to take out and scalp a big fish like eric cantor. i have got it pretty press you. reports you wouldn t take his phone call, why? those reports are completely inaccurate. why wouldn t you give him any money. i met with dave brat. a month ago i spent several hours with hill. i have been in touch with him today. i told him at the time that we had already committed our
politics. so graham said that last year. the good news is he s way ahead in the latest poll, but the catch is that south carolina is a run-off state. so if he did you want get up and over that 50% mark, one of those challengers will get a one-on-one shot at him in two weeks on june 24th. while he would be heavily favored in the run-off it would be a serious headache for him and tea party groups that have so far ignored this race might get interested. run-offs can be very unpredi unpredictable. so the question is is lindsey graham poised to fight the tea party off or is his tea party headache just getting started. here to try to answer what s in store for him is jamie self with the state newspaper in south carolina. thank you for joining us this morning. give us the bottom line. e we look at that poll. not close in a traditional sense, but the number is 50%. he s very close now. there are still some undecided. is he going to get over this
district. democrats are trying to make them competitive and policy whether there is a chance to pick up more than a handful of seats in november. another story, utah senator oren hatch breezed to victory. he won 67% of the vote, but not every incumbent was so lucky. john sullivan who represents oklahoma s first district is going home after he was upset by a tea party challenger. speak of oklahoma, the second district put up one of the last blue dog democrats retiring there. republicans believe both the republican and democratic primaries ended up in run offs and we don t know who the nominees are going to be. they believe they can pick up that seat. last minute talks between the house and house republicans had a contempt vote of congress against the attorney general expected to happen tomorrow after the supreme court releases their verdict. the two sides necessary a
magic kingdom. we will take a look at both sides when the factor comes back. bret: i m bret baier in washington with america s election headquarters update. we already have a winner in one of the big races in florida tonight. the associated press has called the democratic senate primary for congressman kendrick meek over billionaire businessman jeff greene. he has 22 point lead with half of the vote. in he will take on marco rubio and charlie crist running an independent. most florida political experts believe the meek victory will help rubio more than crist. in the gubernatorial race rick scott is leading bill mccollum 46% to 43.5 with almost half of the precincts reporting. democrat alex sink will face the opponent in november. two house run offs are still neck and neck early. you can always get the latest results at foxnews.com. i m bret baier in washington. we ll have results all night long here on the channel.
primary season is official over in the great state of alabama. this week they held their run-offs. and that is good news here at the show, because the end of primary season means we re finally free to make fun of a select few former candidates who were desperate for us to make fun of them while they were still in the running. what these candidates did during their short-lived campaigns is called bait. these three amazing alabama politicians put out ads that were clearly designed to bait liberals like me into attacking them so they would be able to raise money. by campaigning against the liberals who criticize them. now that all these candidates have lost, we can make fun of them without taking the bait and becoming part of their fund-raising strategy. hooray. first dale peterson, who failed to win the republican nomination
