The field of contenders at the U.S. Olympic marathon trials in Orlando is loaded with Utah talent, including five former BYU harriers led by former national champions Conner Mantz and Clayton Young.
The former BYU All-Americans and training partners finished first and second, respectively, in Saturday s U.S. Olympic marathon trials to clinch a spot on the United States squad.
Clayton Young often gets dropped by his training partner, Conner Mantz in practice. That hasn't stopped him from becoming America's #2 seed for the Trials, despite reaching the low point of his pro career less than a year ago when he had knee surgery.
