trouble if they try to take these folks down. here s what he says in an opinion piece on foxnews.com. he said if he woke district attorney s won t prosecute, police realize it s pointless to make an arrest. he adds when a police officer comes to believe that if he has to subdue a violent criminal is more likely that the cop will be accused of assault then that the criminal will be charged with a serious crime. the rule of law withers and dies. lou, your response. i couldn t agree more. i would say this is a much more insidious than alvin bragg. he is really the first district attorney here in new york that was inept enough to put that in writing. i think even his public statements after that said he doesn t regret doing it. he doesn t regret saying that he s not going to prosecute criminals. he just regrets writing it down so he got called on it. i think this is happening throughout, especially in
new york city where it s one party in control. under the guise of saying we are going to make the system more just, they are just telling criminals, you can put a gun to someone s head and as long as you don t shoot them, you re going to walk away with nothing more than a ticket. that s not making the system more just. that in fact is dereliction of duty. shannon: i want to play something that andy had to say today on america reports about this issue of guns in new york city and elsewhere. if not a single gun came into new york city, they already have plenty of an arsenal to fuel crime from now until the end of time. the issue is not guns per se or guns coming across the state lines. it s allowing police to take proactive measures to stop crimes from happening and to promote and project the idea that the rule of law still applies. shannon: randy, he says there are enough guns in new york to commit crimes for a very, very long time.
