The State Government is talking up its commitments to western Sydney in today's State Budget. 

New Look Playspace And Community Hub For City Of Hume

VIC Premier The Andrews Labor Government has delivered a new playspace in Hume and announced a major investment in a new community hub in Broadmeadows through its landmark Growing Suburbs Fund. Minister for Local Government Shaun Leane and Member for Broadmeadows Frank McGuire today officially opened the playground upgrade at Kirwan Park, near Greenvale Reservoir in the south of the fast-growing Hume community. The project received $117,500 from the 2020-21 round of the Growing Suburbs Fund, which supports projects that support better services, connections and opportunities for the local community. The new playspace features new modern, sustainable, and locally made playground equipment, including swings, a cubby house and rock steppers. The area surrounding the playground has also been updated with new seating, picnic tables, garden beds and trees to provide natural shade on hot days.
