A new Joe Strummer greatest hits album is set to be released next month, featuring three previously unreleased versions of classic The Clash tracks.
Made up of carefully curated singles, fan favourites and rarities, ‘Assembly’ will be released on March 26 via George Harrison’s Dark Horse Records, which is now run by the late Beatle‘s son Dhani Harrison and manager David Zonshine.
The 15-track best of will contain live performances of ‘Rudie Can’t Fail’ and ‘I Fought The Law’, which were recorded by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros at London’s Brixton Academy on November 24, 2001.

The 16 track collection begins in the aftermath of the dissolution of The Clash, and matches rarities against some solo high points from the legendary frontman.
Set to be released on March 26th, Assembly will be available on gatefold 2xLP black vinyl, CD and digitally.

The tracklisting contains some real gems, including deep cuts, fan favourites, and two sizzling live takes on The Clash favourites Rudie Can t Fail and I Fought The Law , recorded by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros at London’s Brixton Academy on November 24th, 2001.
A new Joe Strummer compilation called Assembly showcasing the late Clash frontman s solo work will be released on March 26. The 16-track collection mainly features songs Strummer recorded with his longtime backing band The Mescaleros , and also includes Love Kills, Joe s contribution to the soundtrack of the 1986 film Sid and Nancy , and three previously unreleased versions of tunes associated with The Clash. The unreleased material includes an acoustic version of Junco Partner, a song that appeared on 1980 s Sandinista album, as well as live performances of Rudy Can t Fail and I Fought the Law recorded at a November 2001 concert Strummer and The Mescaleros played in London.
