The 30-year-old admitted killing Kimberley Deakin last month just days before his trial was due to be held at Stafford Crown Court. But Crofts was later arrested in Northamptonshire and charged with Kimberley s murder. Kim, of Leigh Street, was pronounced dead at the Royal Stoke University Hospital last November. A post-mortem examination found Kim - who had given birth to baby Ava last summer - died from stab wounds. Crofts, from Dorset, is due to be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court from 3pm on Tuesday, May 4.
