For some colleges, the feds are the lender of last resort. Their help may just dig campuses deeper into debt, a <em>Chronicle</em> investigation has found.
MOUNT PLEASANT — There were signs of life at Iowa Wesleyan University on Saturday, but the campus looked much different than it had for the previous 181 Novembers.
Three months into its post-collegiate life, the future of the vacated Iowa Wesleyan University campus is starting to take shape thanks to Mount Pleasant Community School District’s $1.25 million offer to buy portions of the 60-acre property.
