The Committee on Women Facing Crisis has developed a survey to understand the scope and impact of violence against health care professionals worldwide. This important initiative aims to raise awareness and advocate for change. The survey is available in English, French and Spanish and we encourage doctors, nurses, midwives and other health workers globally to complete it and share it widely. The results will be used to assess the scale of the problem and inform guidelines to create safer working conditions for health personnel.

Dr Sohail provides an overview of the prevalence of GBV both in and out of humanitarian settings, the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for women in her country of Pakistan, and practical advice on how OBGYNs can become advocates for survivors of violence.
