breaking roller coaster ride. wall street saw yet another day of volatile trading thursday, this time on the up side as investors and analysts scratch their heads trying to come up with clues as to when it will all end and where the market is ultimately headed. nbc s brian mooar reports. reporter: it was another wild ride on wall street with the dow recovering more than 420 points and climbing back over the 11,000 mark. i would like to believe so, but i think it s way too early to tell. reporter: the market picked up on news that germany and france are meeting next week, and italy is promising strict reforms in return for eu help. a better-than-expected report on u.s. jobless claims helped but investors are still rung scared. i think americans are looking at washington and looking at europe and saying does anyone really know what s going on? do these people know what they re doing? that s leading to the volatility. reporter: president obama was in michigan talking a
is, police say they re no longer searching for him. someone shot and killed trooper wesley brown in forestville outside a restaurant. they had very little to go on except for images of this man who was escorted out of the restaurant just moments before the murder. roz plater joins us with the latest. reporter: we ve been told that earlier this evening police were able to identify and locate that person of interest. now, they re not saying how that happened, how they were able to find him or just yet who he is but we re being told he is currently being questioned and obviously investigators are hoping he might have information that will help them find out who killed trooper brown. all this now as the young trooper s family, friends and co-workers are continuing to grieve. be very strong and be very courageous. reporter: very early saturday morning at an emotional candlelight vigil, it was law enforcement s turn to mourn the loss of one of their own trooper wesley brown.
