Decided that is the way to go. It is interesting because in recent times, with lopetegui, with previous managers, wolves have gone down the continental managerial route. Now, almost for the first time in a decade, they are going to get an english guy in charge and it will be interesting to see how that goes. West ham have agreed a fee of 30 million pounds, thats around 38 million dollars, for both southampton captainjames ward prowse and Manchester United defender harry maguire. The England International had slipped down the Pecking Order at old trafford under erik ten hag who took the captaincy off maguire at the start of preseason. Its not thought agreeing personal terms will be a problem. Manchester united had this man Wout Weghorst on loan last season and once again hes left his club burnley on a temporary deal. The dutch striker has joined hoffenheim on a season long loan. Four time winners river plate have been knocked out of the Copa Libertadores. Beaten on penalties in the last

Steve scalise, the man elected by the Republican Caucus to be the next speaker but was short of the votes to do so as just announced, apparently, inside the republican conference, that he is withdrawing his name from the speakership. We dont know why, other than the whip count a vote against him within the Republican Caucus today and ballooned to 16 or 17 votes. People were saying he could not get to 217 either to be elected Speaker Of The House. This comes a week and a half after mccarthy was deposed, successful with eight members voting i along with all the democrats. Theres been a speaker pro tem, Patrick Mchenry since then, serving in a custodial fashion. This is all totally unprecedented in american history. We havent had this before. Its 100 years since we had a motion to vacate the chair. Amidst an unfolding global crisis, the second in line to the president and Constitutional Office of Speaker Of The House remains vacant, with no clear path for this house Republican Caucus to r
After weeks of controversy, Luis Rubiales has resigned as president of the spanish football federation. It follows weeks of pressure for him to resign, after he kissed Jenni Hermoso on the lips after spains victory over england in last months world cup final. Hermoso said the kiss was not consensual. The spanish football journalist and author Guillem Balague gave me his view of how people are reacting to the resignation. Generally of celebration. At the same time, quiet celebration, because this should be the beginning of something, or at least the continuation of something. When the 81 female players decided not to join the National Team next when they get called up, said they wanted the directors to actually be removed from the federation. They werent just talking about Luis Rubiales, they were talking about systemic discrimination against women. Theres so many examples. The assembly that decides everything in the federation, 43 members, only seven women, and it goes on and on and on
french interior minister who said he wants to pay tribute to the rapid and courageous intervention of these men. unfortunately they were not quick enough because that fire spread so quickly. it was made of wood, this is the traditional architecture, the traditional style of places in that part of the region. it makes a pretty buildings but clearly very dangerous when there is a fire, which is what we have seen. the original prosecutor has launched an investigation to see if they can work out at this what caused it, but at the moment all attention is on retrieving the bodies. it was a difficult task. we had the commander of the fire service who is in charge of the operation referred to great big burnt pieces of wood that were a danger to firefighters, lots of rubble everywhere. there was time before they could get the fire under control, and more time before they could enter the building safely.
