the museum in honor of his centennial and they discovered the boxes in their archive and so they called me up and i got an opportunity to go through them and compile them in this book. it s a really important primary source document. he s a great communicator. these are the tools of his trade that he would use on the rubber chicken circuit or talk show or wherever he traveled. you ve studied almost everything there is to know about ronald reagan having studied his diaries. did you know what kind of man he was by looking at these cards? that s a good question but they re all part and parcel of the same answer. he controlled his own game. he knew who he was. he struggled in the 50s and 60s. some of these carding he used during the general elected years. he always knew he could communicate to people, almost like a self-help guru or somebody who might have to earn his living on the huskies.
