SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed an application in the Delhi High Court requesting a modification of the court's order that mandates the physical presence of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik.
The Delhi High Court has listed for hearing on August 7 the plea for virtual production of separatist leader Yasin Malik in connection with the NIA s plea seeking death penalty for him in a terror funding case. Malik, who is presently serving life term and considered a "very high risk prisoner", cannot be physically produced in court, according to the application filed by jail authorities.
