IMPHAL Manipur government has announced summer vacation for all schools under state board and higher secondary council from May 4 to the 30th. Disclosing this while addressing a press conference in Imphal at state DIPR office, state education and legislative affairs minister Thounaojam Basantakumar Singh informed that the colleges under the Manipur University will also have a similar summer vacation from May 15 to June 5, 2023. Basantakumar said that the move was initiated as most of the educational institution premises were occupied by the security forces. More than 50 companies of the paramilitary forces and 105 columns of army and Assam rifles are presently stationed in the state to assist the state authority in maintaining law and order situation.
