Noble Marine West Country Boat Repairs RS200 Nationals entry limit increased to 130 boats

RS200 racing © Mike Rice / Fotoboat The RS Class Association and Exe Sailing Club are delighted to announce that the entry limit for the sell-out Noble Marine West Country Boat Repairs RS200 Nationals has been increased to a massive 130 boats. Nick Coombes, Exe SC Event Manger said We ve been waiting to hear what Boris Johnson would announce, and it s great news that the COVID alert level has once again been reduced. We feel comfortable to open up the event now. All RS200 sailors on the waiting list are now being invited to pay for their entry and spread the word to others wishing to take part.

Club racing at Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club © Gerard van den Hoek RS400 Demo Boat - the 2021 plan for the RS Class Association RS400 demo boat has been agreed: Notts County SC, now-18th June Warsash SC - 19th June-2nd October Leigh & Lowton SC - 3rd October onwards There is a Scottish demo boat for sailors based in Scotland too. The demo boat is funded by the RS Class Association, with support having been generously received from Rain & Sun, RS Sailing and West Country Boat Repairs this year too. It s a great way to try RS400 sailing and see if the RS400 is the right boat for you - we have seen club fleet sizes increase and new sailors come into the fleet on the regional tours and Rooster National Tour after sailing the demo.

TridentUK joins Noble Marine as title sponsor for TridentUK RS400 National Championship

Launching during the 2019 RS400 UK & Irish Nationals © Bradley Quinn The RS Class Association are excited to announce that TridentUK will be title sponsor of the RS400 National Championships alongside Noble Marine; the Noble Marine-TridentUK RS400 National Championships. TridentUK was established in 1983 by Dave and Jackie Gebhard, both keen dinghy sailors, as a sailmaking business. The business grew quickly to include the manufacture of waterproof and thermal clothing. They supplied Shipyards, Oil Rigs and the Fishing Industry as well as the Dinghy Market. This led, along with sailing in cold North Sea water, to developing their drysuits, designing and testing the suits themselves. The chandlery followed naturally and is a big part of the current business.

RS Summer Regatta pre-entry registration to open at 09 00 on Sunday 14th February

RS Summer Regatta © Sally Campbell The RS Summer Regatta, incorporating the RS400 Summer Championship and RS500 Noble Marine UK National Championship to be held on 26th-27th June, will open for pre-entry registration at 09.00 on Sunday 14th February. This will be the flagship multiclass RS Class Association event of 2021, hosted by Royal Torbay Yacht Club, the RYA s Club of the Year 2019. Both the club and the Class Association are confident that this event, in the fantastic sailing waters of Torbay, will go ahead and deliver the efficient, fun, competitive racing that we all enjoy so much and have missed in 2020 and demand for places is expected to be high, think the Glastonbury Festival of Sailing!
