Officials say in order to improve safety on local roadways, a contractor working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will be applying a high friction treatment to portions of KY 189 and US 62 in Muhlenberg County beginning Thursday, resulting in temporary lane restriction for up to two weeks.
