Turkey is willing to sell weapons to Bangladesh as it is now producing the most of its required arms.
The issue was discussed in a meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his Bangladeshi counterpart AK Abdul Momen in the capital yesterday.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Momen said, This was not on the agenda. But the Turkish minister shared the idea of defence cooperation.
Formulate another stimulus package

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday asked the finance ministry and other related ministries and divisions to formulate another financial stimulus package plan keeping a possible second wave of Covid-19 in consideration.
The premier gave the order at a meeting at the Gono Bhaban. The meeting was held to finalise the 8th Fifth Year Plan (2021-2025).
PM s Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Jahid Tusher briefed reporters after the meeting.

PM urges South Korea to invest in Hi-tech Park

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday invited South Korea to invest in Bangladesh, particularly in the Hi-tech Park, mentioning that a conducive business climate prevails here.
She said this when newly-appointed Ambassador of South Korea to Bangladesh Lee Jang-kuen met her at her official residence Ganobhaban.
In this regard, the Ambassador said ICT is the future of Bangladesh and Korea is already working with the ICT Division of Bangladesh on special programmes for startup IT businesses and Dhaka University to set up an ICT training centre and entrepreneur development.
