Matt Sydal will face AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a non-title match on the March 24th edition of AEW Dynamite with a title shot looming if he can win.
The match was initially made on Monday s debut edition of AEW Dark: Elevation. The Sydal Brothers had already wrestled, defeating Jorel Nelson and Royce Issacs. Backstage, Omega ran into Matt, saying he was scouting for potential future opponents.
He told Matt that if he could beat Nakazawa later during Elevation, he could face Omega on Dynamite. It was also agreed upon that if Sydal won, he would earn a shot at Omega’s AEW World title.
