A West Palm Beach law firm announced the details involving a settlement following the death of a 79-year-old woman who died after a drawbridge suddenly opened up while she was walking across it.
The attorney representing Carol Wright’s family, Lance Ivey, announced on Friday that the wrongful death lawsuit was settled for $8.3 million and extensive safety changes for drawbridge operators.
