A headteacher at a top private school whose patron is the Queen has been jailed after sexually abusing a teenage girl for four years.
Colin Brooks was head at The Grove School in Surrey when he violated a teenage girl at least seven times over a four-year period.
The now 77-year-old child molester started abusing his victim in 1982, when she was just 13, and continued doing so until she was 17.
During this time, Brook became headteacher at the all girls school, which has since been renamed The Royal Naval School and subsequently The Royal School.

A class of newly qualified aircraft handlers have walked straight from the training ground to the deck of HMS Queen Elizabeth – as the aircraft carrier prepares for her maiden deployment to the Far East. The 20 sailors celebrated the completion of their training at the Royal Naval School of Flight Deck Operations at RNAS Culdrose, Helston, on Wednesday, April 28. Six of these new aircraft handlers will immediately join the ship’s company of the carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth as she prepares to head off on her deployment to the Far East.
