This has put pressure on courier services such as Royal Mail as demand increases.
While deliveries are running as normal in many parts of the UK, the postal service has shared an update on delays in some areas.
As today is St Patrick s Day, and a public holiday in Northern Ireland, there will be no deliveries from Royal Mail.

A statement said: We re delivering and collecting mail in most parts of the UK today - Wednesday 17 March is a public holiday in Northern Ireland. There will be no deliveries or collections in the BT postcode areas. Further details can be found on our help pages.
