The Court of Appeal in Abuja has denied Ann Nwanyibuife Agom-Eze's appeal and approved Governor David Umahi's nomination for the Senate. By Friday’s ruling, the earlier decision of a Federal High Court and its orders were overturned by the Court of Appeal. The Appeal Court also ruled that the High Court was wrong when it upheld Ann’s counter-affidavit and failed to uphold the primary election of June 9, 2022.
