A family of five has been seriously injured in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, after a truck collided with their horse-drawn buggy. The truck s driver, who was intoxicated, has been arrested for causing injury. Four of the victims have been released from the hospital, while a 5-month-old child remains hospitalized at the UW Children s Hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE: Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson said that as of 2:30 p.m., four of the five people in the buggy involved the crash have been released from the hospital.
Four out of the five people injured in an Amish buggy crash in Vernon County have been released from the hospital. A 5-month-old child is still hospit.
The five were taken by ambulance to hospitals and two later were transferred to University of Wisconsin Children s Hospital in Madison, authorities said.
