HAMMOND, Indiana â A caravan of Trump supporters traveled hours from Evansville, Indiana, to Hammond to drive by Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr.âs house Saturday afternoon in response to a spat over a flag being flown outside a resident s home.
The group, Young Conservatives of Southern Indiana, had made the trip from southern Indiana to the mayorâs home in response to McDermottâs condemnation of an anti-Joe Biden flag containing an expletive.
The flag, which was placed on a residence that sits across from a park, violated a Hammond ordinance banning public display of obscene material because it contains two uses of the F-word, McDermott argued.Â
âIâll see you in heaven.â

Alâs daughter, Sandra Noe, was herself suffering from COVID-19, which she contracted while caring for her sick parents, when the virus forced Alâs hospitalization.
Noe, 66, is no stranger to helping elderly shut-ins weather isolation.
