The investigation started when dellis was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with symptoms consistent with recently giving birth to a third trimester baby. Dellis denied giving birth. Investigators search her home and interviewied her family. That led police to Franklin County dumpster site, where the newborns body was found.
