A former Winnipeg Goldeyes catcher is one step closer to making the Show.
The Kansas City Monarchs have announced that the Minnesota Twins have bought the contract of Roy Morales.
During his 19 games with the Goldeyes, the Puerto Rico product had a batting average of .333 with 19 hits and 10 RBI. With the Canaries, Morales played 26 games and drove in 12 runs while sporting a .330 batting average.
Billy Milos is a scout for the Twins, and says it’s the athleticism that really sets him apart.
“He gives you a lot of options. He is versatile, plays several positions, a great catcher, and he hits,” says Milos, “He has such a high upside. The Twins organization is better with Roy Morales in it.”
