Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful is on the lookout for award-winning properties. Each month from May until September, members of the KCCB Beautification Committee will select one business and one residential property from those nominated to receive the âBusinessâ and âResidentialâ Yard of the Month awards.
Winners will chosen based on the following criteria:
The property has no visible code violations.
The property is the most aesthetically pleasing nomination.
The property has not received the award during the current calendar year.
Residential properties must be maintained solely by the owner and not by a professional lawn service. (Not applicable for business properties)
The Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful Commission hosted a Donât Mess with Texas Trash-off event at the Copperas Cove City Park on April 10.
At least 260 volunteers, including members of the Copperas Cove Police Department Law Enforcement Explorers, members of the Boy Scouts of America, missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Solid Waste employees, and other community members, gathered to remove trash from the Copperas Cove City Park and several miles along Avenue B.
âThe Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful, KCCB, is an organization that was formed by the city of Copperas Cove,â said Roxanne Flores-Achmad, the executive director of KCCB. âWe go out and educate the community about why itâs important to take care of it, litter prevention, and just enhancing and beautifying the community.â
