Rain causes damage in Gqeberha and St Francis By Raahil Sain - 07 May 2021 A Gqeberha day care centre was damaged during heavy rainfalls on Wednesday night, while for much  of Thursday mop-up operations were carried out in St Francis Bay, where numerous incidents of water damage to homes, roads and along the coastline were reported. Some areas received up to 100mm of rain.   In West End, Tiny Toes Daycare had to suspend its classes after rain and hail damaged a large portion of its premises. The caretaker sleeping inside the building was awoken by the heavy rain which had wet his mattress.

SAPS Kabega detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 74-year-old woman who is missing since 25 December 2020. It is alleged that on Sunday, 04 October 2020, Martha Du Toit, from Lategan Street, Rowallan Park was last seen by her sister. According to her sister, she last spoke to Mrs. Du Toit on 25 December 2020 on the telephone and was informed that she (Mrs du Toit) left Gqeberha and relocated to Adelaide with Mr. Abraham De Beer. When her sister attempted to contact her again she was unable to do so because the cell phone number is no longer working. Kabega Park detectives did contact SAPS Adelaide for assistance in tracing Mrs. Du Toit however their efforts were in vain.

Rowallan Park woman, 74, missing since Christmas By Riaan Marais - 03 May 2021 STILL MISSING: Martha du Toit, 74, was last heard from on Christmas Day Image: Supplied Kabega Park police need the public’s assistance to help track down an elderly woman who has been missing since Christmas Day. Martha du Toit, 74, from Lategan Street, Rowallan Park, disappeared shortly after a telephone conversation with her sister on December 25. Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said Du Toit’s sister last saw her on October 4, but then received the Christmas Day phone call, only to be informed that her sister had left the city.
