There were reports of heavy traffic on the A27 due to a car fire. The AA warned drivers to expect delays at Falmer as a result of the incident earlier this evening. THERE are lane closures in place on a busy stretch of the A27 due to emergency works on a burst water main. Southern Water said last night that the measures had been put in place at the Falmer junction so staff could work quickly and safely on pipes under the road .
