Kay Ganley from the Bayley s Mount Maunganui team has been crowned top salesperson of the year. The top-performing individuals and offices for the 2020/2021 financial year were recognised at Success Realty s annual awards evening on May 7.

Success Realty is the group of Bayleys offices in the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Taranaki.
More than 260 salespeople, managers and support staff from nine offices across the three regions attended the awards.
Realty Group chief operating officer Heath Young said the award nights were a memorable occasion.

The iconic Rotorua Trust building on Eruera St is set for new owners, but its role will still be the same – serving the Rotorua community.
The building will transfer to its new owners, Collingwood Funeral Home, with the company taking possession on May 14.

Rotorua community groups are heavily reliant on a dwindling base of volunteers but one organisation has come up with a solution.
There is now a new way of accessing help via an online platform that could change the way communities connect.
Be Collective, which is supported by Rotorua Trust, the Department of Internal Affairs, and Rotorua Lakes Council, is re-imagining ways to engage, connect and give in the community in an effort to encourage more people to volunteer.

The delayed reopening of one of Rotorua s most beloved and iconic buildings has been met with disappointment and the fear a generation of children will miss out on visiting the city s historic taonga. Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa Rotorua Museum was closed in November 2016 after being damaged in the 7.8 magnitude Kaikoura earthquake.
The museum, in the Bath House building at Government Gardens, was initially expected to open next year, with more than $50 million raised for the strengthening and restoration from multiple government and charity sources.
