FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Rotary Club of FSJ donated over $70,000 to the Ma Murray School playground project.
The Rotary Club stopped by the school on January 27th to drop off their final donation of $47,954.13.
Fundraising for the project began in 2018 when Raj Acharjee wanted to host a Bollywood event to help raise money to benefit local kids. The event raised over $10,000. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);
The Rotary Club of FSJ then decided to join forces with the school Parent Advisory Council (PAC) to work on funding for a playground not just for the school but also for the community.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Rotary Club of Fort St. John’s Mega Lottery is happening right now, with the Early Bird Draw for $5000 happening this week on Thursday, December 17th.
According to Becky Belle of the Rotary Club, tickets can be purchased up until 6 pm on Wednesday, December 16th, to be qualified for the Early Bird draw on Thursday.
The Mega Lottery is the largest community lottery, and 100 percent of the funds stay within the community and help to support non-profits in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Chetwynd.
Tickets can be purchased in person at Totem Mall, and Dawson Creek Mall and a full list of participating clubs can be found on the Mega Lottery website.
