ROTARY Hamilton welcomed South Launceston Rotary Club guests Phil and Joyce Ogden last week, who have been cycling from Adelaide to Sydney, connecting with Rotary clubs along the way to promote and raise money for the campaign ‘End Polio Now’.
NEW Year’s Eve is set to be a great event this year with Rotary Hamilton organising a fun family night with entertainment, rides, face painting, live music and much more.
AS part of the national Rotary lead campaign against domestic and family violence as well as the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, Rotary Hamilton invited reverend Peter Cook to share a local perspective on the issues that face some families in our community at a meeting on Wednesday.

The main car park at Hamilton Gardens was almost full on Saturday. Hamilton City Council is proposing to charge $5 per car for parking at the site.
A proposal to charge for car parking at Hamilton Gardens has failed to win public backing. Hamilton city councillors will meet on Tuesday for deliberations on the council’s draft long-term plan ahead of its adoption in June. The council plans to spend $3.7 billion over the next 10 years on the “everyday costs” of running the city, as well as $2.5b on capital projects. It’s proposing an average rates increase of 8.9 per cent to existing ratepayers in the 2021/22 financial year.
