The Hook, a splashy new live show opens this Friday, June 30, at Caesars Atlantic City. Superfrico, described as a psychedelic Italian-American restaurant will also open in The Hook complex on Friday.
Opened in 1929 with 4,300 seats, the Warner Theater was Atlantic City’s crown jewel showroom and movie palace. In 1957, one year before purchasing the Warner, booking agent George Hamid, Jr., who brought the Beatles to Atlantic City on their first U.S. tour in 1964, passed on a new sensation whose name he deemed “crazy.”
“It’s really difficult to launch a show, because if you miss the market, there’s no recovery. You’ve got to be careful and really know what you’re doing.”
Nipton, Calif., has one main road and about two dozen residents. Entrepreneurs with dreams of turning it around have come and gone. Will this time be different?
