Ross County Sheriffs Deputies investigated a possible suspicious death on Sunday. Deputies were called to an address on SR-180, that in response to an unidentified callers report that her uncle had died. The caller told deputies she had pictures of the deceased man, Melvin Mutter, that had been sent to her by her aunt, Barbara Grimsley. Grimsley told the family member that Mutter had passed away overnight Saturday, and had been in the care of a hospice nurse. According to Grimsley, after Mutter passed away, the hospice nurse simply left the residence. The investigation continues..

Ross County Sheriffs Deputies were called to Black Run Road Wednesday on the report of accident that involved injuries. Huntington Township EMS arrived and transported Cody Draise to the Adena Regional Medical Center for what was believed to be a head injury. Draise s car had apparently run off the road and crashed into a ditch at 3950 Black Run Road. The property owner there, Kayla Aber, told deputies she found Draise inside the car unconscious. The accident did cause some damage to Aber s property, but she refused to file any charges against Draise. There was no indication of alcohol or any other substance involved in the crash.
